What this site is for
The site exists to explain our chimney and fireplace services, help you request quotes and visits, and share honest information about keeping a chimney safe. Using the site means you accept these terms; if something here does not sit right with you, the phone works fine as an alternative.
About the advice on this site
Our blog posts, DIY notes and service pages are general information written in good faith by people who do this work daily. They are not a substitute for someone qualified actually looking at your specific chimney. Every flue is different, and no article can inspect yours. If a page here and your chimney seem to disagree, trust the chimney and book the free look.
One rule we ask you to take seriously: anything involving your roof, live fire or gas is professional territory. Please do not turn a general article into a ladder decision.
Quotes, scheduling and work
- Website content is not a quote. Prices come from a written estimate after we have actually seen your chimney, and that written number is the one that binds.
- A quote covers the scope it describes. If hidden conditions surface once work begins, we stop, show you, and agree on any change before proceeding.
- Scheduling is a mutual promise: we commit to showing up when we said, and we ask for reasonable notice if you need to move a visit.
- Any work we perform is governed by the written estimate and invoice for that job, which control over anything this website says.
Our content
The words, photographs and design of this site belong to Eastlake Chimney. You are welcome to share links and quote reasonably with attribution. Wholesale copying of our pages, especially into a competing website, is not welcome and will be pursued.
Liability, in proportion
We stand behind our work through the written agreements that govern each job. The website itself is provided as-is: we work to keep it accurate and current, but we cannot promise a website is ever entirely free of errors, and we are not liable for decisions made on general content alone, particularly do-it-yourself attempts at professional work.
